Product Description:

Huangshan Maofeng is one of China’s top ten famous teas, produced in the high mountains of Huangshan in Anhui Province. The name “Maofeng” comes from its appearance: the tea buds are covered with silvery-white hairs, shaped like mountain peaks. Created during the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty, it has enjoyed a history of more than a century, renowned for its elegant fragrance and fresh, mellow taste.

This tea is carefully crafted from early spring’s first flush of one bud and one young leaf, using traditional pan-firing techniques. The dry leaves are slender and slightly curved, with a tender green color and silvery down. Once brewed, the liquor is clear and bright, exuding a lingering orchid fragrance and a refreshing, smooth flavor with a long, sweet aftertaste.

The first infusions reveal a refined orchid aroma with subtle chestnut sweetness; the liquor is fresh, smooth, and mellow, with little to no bitterness. Later infusions highlight delicate floral notes and a gentle tea base, offering layered complexity and a lingering charm.

Huangshan Maofeng is best enjoyed in a glass cup or porcelain gaiwan, where the unfurling of the buds and the clarity of the liquor enhance both visual and tasting pleasure.

Brewing Guide (Glass Cup Method):

Use 3–5 g of dry tea leaves

Add 200 ml of hot water at 80–85°C

First, pour a little water to moisten the leaves, then fill the cup to about 70% full
