Product Description:

Dianhong, also known as Yunnan Black Tea, is one of the most renowned Chinese black teas, originating from the highlands of Yunnan. Famous for its tightly rolled leaves covered with golden tips, bright liquor, and mellow, sweet taste, it is regarded as a classic alongside Keemun Black Tea.

This Dianhong is crafted from the first spring buds of the large-leaf Yunnan tea trees, processed with traditional Gongfu black tea techniques including withering, rolling, fermentation, and slow roasting. The dry leaves are dark and lustrous with golden tips, while the brewed liquor glows with a vibrant golden-red color and exudes a lingering fragrance.

The first infusions release a rich honeyed sweetness with fruity and floral undertones. The middle brews are full-bodied, smooth, and mellow, while the later steeps bring a lingering, sweet aftertaste that coats the palate. Bold yet elegant, it perfectly showcases the unique character of Yunnan’s large-leaf variety.

Dianhong can be brewed in porcelain or glass teaware to best highlight its brilliant color and aroma. It is excellent for pure tasting, as well as for blending with milk or sugar, earning it the title of “a gem among Eastern black teas.”
