Product Introduction

This 2006 Yiwu Zhengshan Wild Tea Raw Pu-erh is made from leaves of wild ancient tea trees deep in the Yiwu Zhengshan region of Mengla, Xishuangbanna. Unlike cultivated gardens, these untamed trees preserve their natural wilderness character. After 20 years of natural dry storage, the tea has transformed from its youthful sharpness into a mature, steady liquor, combining aged aroma with wild forest charm.

The dry leaves are coarse and powerful, dark brown with a rustic texture. Once brewed, the liquor is bright orange-red, thick, and steady. From the very first sip, aged tea fragrance fills the mouth, carrying forest-like notes and a wild, untamed charm. The taste is full and rounded, with bitterness almost completely dissolved, leaving a persistent sweetness and a deep, long-lasting throat-rhyme.

With each infusion, the liquor becomes smoother, the aged aroma grows more pronounced, and the body of the tea feels increasingly mellow and harmonious — delivering the comfort and stability unique to well-aged wild tea.

Origin · Yiwu Wild Tea Region

Yiwu, located in Mengla County, Xishuangbanna, has long been revered as the foremost among the ancient six great tea mountains of Pu-erh, and a historic tribute tea region. Beyond its traditional tea gardens, Yiwu still preserves scattered wild ancient tea trees rooted in deep mountain forests, absorbing the pure essence of nature.

Wild Yiwu tea is known for its profound aged fragrance, thick body, and unique “wild mountain” character. Compared with the refined elegance of garden-grown Yiwu tea, wild tea expresses greater ruggedness, depth, and endurance, embodying the primal strength of nature.

  • Water: 200ml, 95–100°C

  • Rinse: Quick rinse for 8–10 seconds, not for drinking

Aging Value

Pu-erh is prized for its unique transformation over time — the older, the richer, the rarer. Wild tea, with its untamed origin, carries even greater aging potential. After 20 years of natural dry storage, its raw sharpness has vanished, replaced by a deep harmony of aged fragrance, woody notes, and wild mountain character.

The 2006 Yiwu Zhengshan Wild Tea Raw Pu-erh offers both exceptional drinking pleasure and high collectible value — a rare combination of wilderness charm, aged depth, and long-lasting sweetness that only decades of time can create.
